How does a chocolate factory work ?
The chocolate fountain, when operating, looks like a three-tiered chocolate wedding cake. Gourmet Belgian
chocolate cascades off of each layer in sheets and guests dip skewered fruit or food items into the
chocolate flow.
Most of our chocolate fountains are made of tree parts: There’s a base unit containing the heater and motor, a spiral drive and a tier system.
You prepare the chocolate separately by melting it at Bain - Marie in a microwave or on the hob over a low heat. You then pour it into the bowl in the base unit. The spiral drive draws the warm chocolate up to the top of their system and then enticing cascade starts its journey all over again.
The chocolate may be melted directly into the fountain basin, this operation requiring around 45 minutes.
Once the chocolate is in full flow, everyone can start to clip the food of their choice anything from exotic fruits and profiteroles to marshmallows and biscuits.
And remember : the fountain works equally well with sauces other than chocolate, including savory ones.
